Your job, as someone interested in participation with this group, will be to come with up to TWO jobs of yours that you are actively gearing. These two jobs are going to be your only jobs you can lot with until you receive an exception from Omen host, currently Galin. (Read to the end.) For the most part, Omen drops are end-game tier stuff. You will choose and record the two jobs that you want gear for and will be able to lot on drops for those two jobs only; there is a separate system for dealing with loot that no one has listed. The point of Omen boss runs is that we are getting needed gear to supplement the skill of players who have invested time in to a job so that in our other end-game endeavors, we will all be more useful and survivable.
The TWO jobs that you will select for you to gear will be classified into three ranks: A, B, and C. With this system, the jobs you have chosen will be able to lot on loot that is appropriate for that job's rank - this means that Rank A gear like Ou hand armor and boss body armor can only be claimed by someone who is gearing and investing time (for JP) and resources (lots of gil to get mats to make upgraded AF). The hope is to encourage plenty of CP party situations and with 4-6 Omen boss runs a week we will all get better; and like I said, there will be rules for loot that isn't claimed which as a player that's close to rank B or A, you would maybe still end up with.
Please remember, I'm human, I was asked to host Omen runs by many. I want to do a good job and get lots of gear for everyone. I personally don't need many more cards except on BLM, and I have rapport with most of you. I'm chill, and if something turns out to be unfair, please message me or post to the Ninja Pandas - Omen channel; I want to make it a worthwhile experience for all involved.

We will select boss targets based on two things: participation and need. Many of us have had success with nuanced strategies for each boss and if we don't have what it takes to take on Ou, then we'll save that for another time. If we don't have a COR to help the SMN out with damage, we probably won't do SMN strategy on FU. I'm admitting right now, there are ways other than how I've been doing it for two years that work for these bosses....I just don't have much exposure to them. (We have recently been testing a PUP tank and it did awesome except probably not the right strategy for Kei or Ou.)
What I like about this system is that lotting on the gear you need doesn't require you to be on the job you are gearing. Also, the system has been agreed to by those currently building up the Omen boss parties and have been refined as needed. The way I see it happening is that we will try at least one boss, then depending on participation, do a boss again or card farm. BUT for those that want to advance rank who may need extra cards on a particular job, work with strategy to fit that job into our fights OR know that solo or smaller runs for cards are a PERFECT use of your canteens. I don't expect everyone to participate in every boss run, I just expect people to care about the jobs they are gearing and be willing to help LS mates advance their respective jobs.
What we want each night is a group who can take down a boss without hassle, then fill other alliance slots with people who are support jobs or need cards to build their rank.
For now, you may only choose your two jobs and lot on loot for those two jobs only. There will be opportunities to CHANGE the jobs you want to lot on, but for now while the group is starting up, no changes. If you want to change the job you are gearing, you need to message me. BTW, as an example, if you just got the four (4) drops you needed for your jobs and wanna gear other jobs, you will be denied until I feel other regular players have received enough loot so that you aren't the only one benefitting massively from these runs.
